Fishing OK but due to unruly members of the public the venue is not fishing as well as it has been. Day Ticket holders as well as members are requested to report to the EPSOM RANGERS (01372 721977 / 01372 741191) any act of vandalism seen as these miscreants are spoiling the venue for all. PLEASE PICK UP ALL LITTER AND DISPOSE OF IN THE BINS PROVIDED OR TAKE IT HOME AS EPSOM COUNCIL ARE SERIOUSLY THINKING OF CLOSING THE VENUE DUE TO LITTER LEFT BY ANGLERS. If you see anybody ill-treating the fish or wildlife please contact any of the following - The Police - The EA - The RSPCA - The Epsom Common Rangers - The CALPAC Secretary.
The 'Pond' is fishing very well considering the wobbly start to the season big Carp are coming out and big Bream with 6lb Tench being recorded. A couple of lads had 52 Bream in one sitting plus a mixed bag of silver fish. 21/09/08

Big Carp have been caught, no further details were forthcoming from the informant as I suspect they were a lot bigger than he was admitting.

Balls Green Small Lake OPEN During the 'close' season
Tench, Perch and silver fish, the Roach are now a god size as well as the Perch. The Tench were a little shy but were tugging at the ledger baits in the deep portion of the pond.03/08/08
River Arun (Pulborough)
Carrindale have closed down and day tickets will have to be bought from the Treasurer before hand. call 020 8777 9489. A big 15 lb mirror Carp (see gallery) was caught here earlier on in the season (07/08) at the top end of our stretch. Good sized Roach and Bream are coming out as well as medium sized Chub. Eels are coming out frequently especially at low tide with the big Bream. 17/08/08
River Eden (Skeynes Farm)
Very good sized Perch (Av 2lb 8oz) being caught all along the fishery, Pike are now showing at a good size, a couple of high double Carp have been reported as well as big Chub.
River Kennet (Padworth)
The latest in Barbel catches are 14lb 10oz, 11lb 0oz. plus the regulars are always catching double figure fish. Plenty of silverfish Roach and Dace but Perch seem to be shy but one of 3lb was caught last Sunday (21/09/08) 2lb Trout are being a nuisance,
River Kennet (Bulls Lock)
Perch and Barbel are back in numbers after the recent flooding, watch out for poaching from the opposite bank as our side has the best cover! Last Sunday saw good sized Grayling being landed as well as Dace, Perch and a very nice 4lb 8oz Chub - Bleak, Gudgeon are also nibbling at your bait as well as the odd minnow.
River Kennet, Kennet & Avon Canal (Sulhamstead)
Very recently a 24lb 4oz pike was landed by head bailiff Aran Worsfold (see photo in gallery)
September is proving to be good here at Sulhamstead good bags of big Chub (4lb smallest) plenty of Roach, Dace, Perch and the ubiquitous Gudgeon (14/09/08)
